Ten Steps to Successful In-House Training
Step 1
Diagnostic Training Consultation
In step one, you attend a free-of-charge diagnostic consultation and skills assessment with our principal trainer and course designer, Nicholas C. Hill FCMI FIoL FIC. In this session, Nicholas identifies your needs and those of your delegates for the training. In particular, he uncovers the genuine problems you need the course to solve, the outcomes you want to achieve, and the skills you want to develop. Depending on the project scope, several consultations may be necessary.
Tailored Solution Development
In step two, Nicholas Hill Academy Ltd considers the data gathered in your diagnostic consultation and tailors a proposal to meet your needs. We select the appropriate material from our 320 unique modules to compose a perfectly matched solution for you. You may have enquired about one of our courses without knowing we offered other subjects that could be a better fit for your delegates. For in-house bookings, we sometimes use complementary modules from our various courses. We then negotiate on the best way forward.

Training Course Scheduling
In step three, Nicholas Hill Academy Ltd designs logistics and scheduling to ensure a smooth operation. We compose an agreement detailing the final solution once we agree on suitable times and dates. Once all parties have signed, your booking is complete, and your dates are secured with calendar invitations. For virtual classroom training, we include links to Microsoft Teams. We now confirm your requirements for training venues, classrooms, accommodation, travel, catering, hardware, and software.
Preparation and Preliminaries
In step four, Nicholas Hill Academy Ltd sends your delegates an introductory email, including detailed preparation and preliminaries designed to improve your ROI. We include a link to the course page, a package summary, dates, timings, hardware and software requirements, note-taking tips, and participation guidance. In a separate email, we then attach your interactive course workbooks with user instructions. If required, we will dispatch hardcopy workbooks before your training commences.

Training Course Delivery
In step five, Nicholas Hill Academy Ltd delivers your in-house tailored training solution for your team, divided into several cohorts if required. For your single delegates, we provide open scheduled dates and 1-2-1 courses. Training is in various formats to suit your needs, including classroom, virtual classroom, and hybrid. All our courses are instructor-led by Certified Master Trainer Nicholas C. Hill FCMI FIoL FIC, who is involved in your journey from skills diagnostics to post-course support.
Training Feedback Compilation
In step six, Nicholas Hill Academy Ltd emails your delegates with our digital interactive feedback forms. We ask everyone to provide a star rating for the course in each of nine categories, including delivery style, explanations, facilitation of discussion, endorsement of ethics, participant exercises, participant workbooks, course management, results achieved, and level of satisfaction. We also ask your delegates to explain how they benefitted from the tools and plan to use them in the workplace.

Post-Course Coaching
In step seven, Nicholas Hill Academy Ltd provides optional post-course coaching for your delegates with Master Coach Nicholas C. Hill FCMI FIoL FIC. In each session, they share how they have applied the tools since completing the course and explore other contexts to improve ROI. Nicholas tests your delegates’ understanding of the concepts, bridges knowledge gaps, overcomes application challenges, and helps them commit to using the tools long-term.
Post-Course Virtual Mentoring
In step eight, as part of your booking and at no extra cost, your delegates receive two weeks of post-course 1-2-1 email mentoring from Certified Master Trainer Nicholas C. Hill FCMI FIoL FIC for every full day of training attended. If your delegates encounter challenges applying our course tools in the workplace, they can email Nicholas with any queries. He will reply with suggestions and recommendations to help them overcome these challenges and improve results.

Post-Course Results Consultation
In step nine, following course completion and optional post-course coaching sessions, Nicholas Hill Academy Ltd invites you and your delegates to attend a post-course results consultation with your course trainer, Nicholas C. Hill FCMI FIoL FIC. In this consultation, we discuss the primary concepts your delegates learned, the tools they used, and the results achieved. We assess the impact of our tools on personal or organisational effectiveness, efficiency, performance, productivity, and profitability.
Bridge Knowledge Gaps
In step ten, after your delegates have completed their post-course results consultation, Nicholas Hill Academy Ltd continues to fulfil our customer satisfaction guarantee. Before courses commence, your delegates can share three primary outcomes for their training. In the unlikely event they haven’t yet achieved these objectives to a satisfactory standard, our team continues to work with them over a reasonable period, at no further cost, until they have done so.
